Signing ceremony for hand-over of experimental equipments of distribution grid automation sponsored by ABB Vietnam-Co-Ltd

After more than 1 year of discussion and opinion exchange between ABB Vietnam Co., Ltd and Faculty of Electrical Engineering about training and learning requirements, list of available equipment as well as the other which are essential for training and researching, both ABB Vietnam Co., Ltd and Faculty of Electrical Engineering have agreed on the build of experimental equipment of Distribution Grid Automation in order to meet the training demand. Then ABB Vietnam Co., Ltd has begun to manufacture and assemble equipment according to/ in accordance with discussed requirements.

At 9.00 am on 15/12/2017, at the Conference Room in the buiding A The University of Danang-University of Science and Technology, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering held the signing ceremony for hand-over of of experimental equipments of Distribution Grid Automation sponsored by ABB Vietnam Co., Ltd.

In terms of participants, regarding sponsor unit - ABB Vietnam Co., Ltd., there were Mr. Brian David Hull- General Director of ABB Vietnam Co., Ltd, Mr. Vu Huu Phu - EP Marketing Director, Mr. Cao Phu Hai - EPPC Product Manager, Mr. Pham Duy Khanh - Sales Account Manager. With respect to Representative of University of Science and Technology, there were Prof. Doan Quang Vinh - Rector, Prof. Le Kim Hung - former Rector; Board of Faculty Electric Engineering as well as teachers and staff of the Faculty.

On behalf of the University, Rector - Dr. Doan Quang Vinh warmly welcomed the managers of ABB company to attend the signing ceremony and expressed his deep gratitude towards the company for sponsoring equipment for the Faculty of Electric Engineering. At the same time, Dr. Doan Quang Vinh expressed his belief that after this signing ceremony, the relationship between University of Science and Technology and ABB company will continue enhancing greatly in the future. The university is committed to co-operate with ABB company to use the laboratory room most effectively in training.

Mr Brian David Hull expressed he was thankful that University of Science and Technology has selected ABB Vietnam Co. Ltd., to cooperate. ABB company made a commitment to keep cooperating with University of Science and Technology in training and introducing to students many modern technologies from ABB company. He also wished the relationship between University of of Science and Technology and ABB company will grow increasingly in the coming time.

Representive of Faculty of Electric Engineering sent their deepest thank-you to Mr. Brian David Hull and ABB company for sponsoring equipment for the Faculty. The faculty was also grateful to Mr. Pham Duy Khanh for accompanying the staff of the Faculty during the time of discussion, manufacturing and assembling of the experimental equipment.

In the end, it was the signing ceremony of hand-over experimental equipment between Dr. Doan Quang Vinh - representative of University of Science and and Mr. Brian David Hull - representative of ABB LTD Co.,

 

After the ceremony, the representatives of University of Science and Technology and repersentives of ABB company visited and set up experimental equipment for Distribution Grid Automation at Smart Grid Lab. Following are some pictures:

The signing ceremony was successful and it opened a new way of training, strengthening the good relationship between University of Science and Technology and ABB company. Wishing in the future that ABB Company will continue to support and sponsor for University of Science and Technology not only in terms of training, but also in respect of scientific research and technology transfer.
