On April 4, 2017, at the conference hall of the University of Technology, DHD, Faculty of Electrical Engineering successfully held the seminar "Methodology of Scientific Research for Electrical Students" and launched the club. EMaker Science Research. With the theme "Students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering with the Industrial Age 4.0", the conference was honored with the attendance of the President of the Da Nang University Students Association. Duong Minh Quan, Dean of the Faculty, teachers of the Faculty and faculty members.
On 4/5/2017, Faculty of Electrical Engineering held a scientific research conference at meeting room A of Polytechnic University - University of Da Nang. This is a conference organized by Faculty of Electrical Engineering to promote the creativeness and dynamism of students and to improve the quality of training, to promote the ability to apply the knowledge learned and practical.
The conference was attended by Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu - Dean of Faculty of Electrical Engineering, PhD. Le Tien Dung - Vice Dean of Electrical Engineering, PhD. Phan Van Hien - Vice Dean of Electrical Engineering with lecturers and students in Faculty.
This year's Faculty of Electrical Engineering students attracted 23 topics with more than 80 students participating with many practical applications. Many topics are the proposed capstone project taught by faculty in the Department along with staff of enterprises in the fields of electrical systems, industrial automation and many topics providing solutions related to saving electricity, environmental protection and equipment to assist people with disabilities. This year's conference attracted many research subjects of the 2nd year students. The number of female participants in the research activities is also higher than that of the previous year.
The meeting was held in open air, the groups presented their topic and ran the demo, after questioning the panel was the discussion with the audience of teachers. in the faculty and the students come from the courses.
The conference is an opportunity for students to have more skills in scientific research as well as training in presentation skills and other soft skills.
After a serious and effective working time, the conference ended successfully and selected the following outstanding topics:
- First prize: Research, design and manufacture of self-reactive power compensation system using thyristor: applied in distribution grid
- Second prize: research, design solutions to manage cars in the city
- Third prize: Research on cutting transmission on 110kV grid - Apply cutting for 110kV transmission lines in Lang Co - Chan May
- Consolation prize: Design and manufacture of learning aids for the blind
- Good idea: Hydroponic smart for every home
- Technology Award: Design of SCADA system for BMS system of Danang University building using integrated solution of TIA portal of Siemens

Go Green in the City - a worldwide student competition with the theme of sustainable energy solutions from Schneider Electric - Global Expert on Energy Management and Automation - have come back. This is the 7th consecutive year the contest has been held globally and over 15,000 candidates have registered from 170 countries in the world in the 2016 season, of which 60% are female contestants. The winner will have the opportunity to travel the world with job opportunities at Schneider Electric.
Subjects: Students from all disciplines who are studying at the 2nd or higher degree or who are studying for a Masters degree
Contest Ideas: Ideas for Sustainable Energy Solutions (Clean and Green) for the city with 300 words in English. 1. Sustainability & Integration, 2. Cooling / Energy Efficiency Solutions, 3. Energy Storage, 4. Integrated Urban Energy Systems, or 5. Individual Ideas. your own unique.
Team formation: In order to participate in the competition, a team should have two people, including at least one female friend, who is studying in the same country.

The National Finals in Vietnam will take place on 9/6/2017. The winners will represent Schneider Electric Vietnam in a competition with the winners of the East Asian Nations in late June 2017 to win the World Finals in Paris from September 9. -13/10/2017. The top three teams in the National Finals will be awarded the following prizes:
- First prize: 20 million VND, tickets for the final round of East Asia at the end of June, 2017, Schneider Electric Vietnam
- One second prize: VND10 million and internship opportunities at Schneider Electric Vietnam
- One third prize: VND5 million and internship opportunities at Schneider Electric Vietnam
The 12 finalists in the global finals will be sponsoring the whole trip to Paris in October 2017. The global championship will be sponsored by Schneider Electric for a world-class VIP tour.
