The Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL/USA) and the Applied Technical Systems Company Ltd (ATS Co., Ltd)/ Vietnam donated protective relays to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Science and Technology.

On Jan 15, 2015, the workshop "Smart Grids - Development Orientations in Vietnam" was held at buildings A of the University of Danang – University of Science and Technology. The workshop resulted from a research and cooperation process between the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Science and Technology and other partners in the power sector of Vietnam including: Schneider Vietnam Company, Central Power Corporation, Power Transmission Company II, Central Power Information Technology Company, Central Information Technology - Power Company, etc.

Nhằm động viên, khích lệ và tôn vinh các tập thể và các giảng viên thuộc Trường Đại học Bách khoa – Đại học Đà Nẵng có thành tích xuất sắc, lao động sáng tạo, hoàn thành tốt nhiệm vụ được giao, thực hiện thắng lợi các mục tiêu phát triển khoa học và công nghệ đề ra và xây dựng định hướng trường đại học nghiên cứu, Nhà trường tổ chức xét thưởng cho các cá nhân và tập thể có hoạt động KH&CN xuất sắc và công bố khoa học xuất sắc thực hiện trong năm học 2013-2014.
